Shauna: You didn’t say anything to anyone?

Flo: Of course not, mom. Why–wh–I would never– I would never tell anyone. God, you know… I always had this, like, fantasy that the Logan’s would eventually forgive me and just take me back into their family, but–

Shauna: Well, that still can happen. Why not? You didn’t sleep with Ridge… or next to him. Oh, poor Brooke. Stolen granddaughter. Sister in kidney failure. And now this thing with me and her husband, which sounds a lot spicier than it actually was. I know she hates our guts, but I actually kind of feel sorry for her.

B&B Best Lines, Friday, October 11, 2019

Brooke: Shauna, what are you doing here?

Shauna: Uh, excuse me for interrupting.

Brooke: You can’t just barge in here like this. We’re in the middle of a private family matter.

Shauna: Actually, I’m here because…

Brooke: I don’t care why you’re here. We’re about to meet Katie’s kidney donor. It’s just family, so please just leave.

Shauna: I wish seeing me didn’t upset you so much, but I understand, and I will leave. I certainly don’t want to interfere with something so special. I’m sure you have a lot to talk about. And you’re right, Brooke. This is a family moment, a family that includes Flo. No matter what happened, she’s your niece. She’s still a Logan. You know, I look at all of you gathered around Katie and supporting and caring for her, and this is definitely, you know, something that Flo should be a part of. She was very worried about her aunt.

Hope: Please.

Shauna: It’s true. We both were so concerned, and that’s why Flo wanted to do something.

Ridge: Do something? What are you talking about?

Shauna: Katie, meet your donor.

Brooke: Ohh.

Ridge: What?

Hope: Flo?

Brooke: You’re serious? Your daughter?

Shauna: Storm’s daughter, your niece, saved Katie’s life.

B&B Best Lines, Thursday, October 10, 2019

Katie: The entire time I’m asleep, I’m gonna be dreaming of you. And your face is the first face I wanna see when I wake up. And yours, too. I had a heart problem.

Dr. Davis: During your surgery, your anesthesiologist will monitor your heart and your breathing. You’ll be on a ventilator. And we have a cardiac team on standby, just in case.

Bill: So, doc, how long will Katie be in here post-op before she can come home?

Dr. Davis: It depends on how well the organ functions and how it reacts to the new anti-rejection meds.

Brooke: So she won’t have a problem with just one kidney?

Katie: Actually, I’ll have three.

Dr. Davis: Yeah, your son thought that was so cool. Katie’s kidneys will be left in place–lowers the risk of antibodies attacking the new kidney, so I put the donor kidney in the anterior of the lower abdomen, connect an artery and a vein from Katie to the kidney, and once we attach the bladder, we close her up.

Brooke: Well, yeah. No big deal.

B&B Best Lines, Wednesday, October 9, 2019

Flo: Why hasn’t the transplant center called yet?

Shauna: Well, pacing a hole in the floor isn’t gonna make them call any faster.

Flo: This waiting is driving me insane. I just want to know if I’m gonna be a match for Katie.

Shauna: The Logan’s would be grateful to you forever.

Flo: That’s not why I want to do it.

Shauna: I know, honey. I’m just saying your loving, crazy, generous gift would be greatly appreciated. Katie gets a kidney and lives, and you’re elevated from this horrible person to this wonderful person. And who knows? Maybe your goodness will remind Wyatt why he’s loved you most of his life.

B&B Best Lines, Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Dr. Davis: You need a kidney transplant as soon as possible.: Even though no family members can donate in your case, you’re still on the wait list for a kidney from a deceased donor. Although we have discussed the average wait time–

Bill: We know the average wait time! Three to five years.

Katie: Bill, come on.

Bill: You also said that Katie doesn’t have three to five years! Now you know who I am! It’s just us here. What’s it gonna cost to get Katie to the top of that list? Or some other list? There’s gotta be a separate list–another list that we can buy into.

Dr. Davis: Listen, I know what you’re trying to do, okay? But it just doesn’t work like that.

Bill: Well, it works like that in my world!

B&B Best Lines, Monday, October 7, 2019

Brooke: You leave my family alone, and stay away from my husband!

Shauna: Or what?

Brooke: This isn’t a warning, Shauna. I’m telling you.

Shauna: You don’t tell me a damn thing. Who do you think you are, barging into my house, slapping me across the face, and giving me orders?

Brooke: I’m Ridge’s wife, and don’t you forget it. The Fulton’s have brought our family so much pain already, and Ridge and I are doing whatever we can to repair the damage from your lies. He’s moved in with Steffy, and he’s trying to work things out with Thomas.

Shaun: Wait. Ridge moved out?

Airing Friday, October 11, 2019 (9:00 PM-11:00 PM EST) ABC News’ ‘20/20’ Reports on Suspects Currently on Trial for Murder-for-Hire Plot Targeting Florida State University Law Professor Dan Markel, Friday, Oct. 11
‘20/20’ Details the Bitter Divorce and Intense Custody Battle Between Dan and Ex-Wife Prior to Murder and Prosecution’s Assertion That Ex’s Brother Funded Murder Plot
“20/20” cameras go inside the courtroom as Sigfredo Garcia and Katherine Magbanua approach the end of their trial for the murder of Florida State University law professor Dan Markel, found shot in his garage following a bitter divorce and custody battle with Wendi Adelson, his ex-wife and a clinical professor at FSU’s College of Law. The trial comes after Sigfredo’s friend Luis Rivera pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Luis told police that Sigfredo solicited him to help Katherine, the mother of Sigfredo’s children, in a murder-for-hire plot targeting Dan. “20/20” also reports the prosecution’s allegation that Charles Adelson, Wendi’s brother, spearheaded and funded the plot. Chief national correspondent Matt Gutman reports for “20/20,” airing Friday, Oct. 11 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.
“20/20” features the first television interview with Matthew Shaer, host of the popular podcast “Over My Dead Body: Tally,” on Dan’s murder. The two-hour “20/20” includes interviews with Tova Walsh, Wendi’s best friend; Georgia Cappleman, state prosecutor working on the case; and Michael Weinstein, Charles’ attorney; as well as police interviews with Wendi and her ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Lacasse on Dan’s murder and footage from Luis’ confession tape.
Wendi and Dan finalized their divorce about a year before Dan died. After the murder, police followed a clue from an eyewitness who reported a green Prius fleeing the scene. Through detailed detective work, police traced the rental car to Sigfredo and Luis. After combing through call logs and financial transactions, authorities connected Sigfredo and Luis’ actions to Katherine. Luis received a reduced sentence in exchange for cooperating with the state’s investigation. Luis and Katherine pleaded not guilty. Authorities have not charged the Adelsons in connection with Dan’s murder and the family denies any involvement in his murder.

ABDUCTED BY MASKED GUNMEN AND BURIED ALIVE IN A TRUCK TRAILER, SURVIVORS RELIVE THE HORRIFYING TIME THEY SPENT UNDERGROUND AND THEIR JOURNEY TO ESCAPE, IN “48 HOURS: LIVE TO TELL: THE CHOWCHILLA KIDNAPPING” Preview
Hostage Jennifer Brown Hyde Says: “I Felt like I Was an Animal Going to the Slaughterhouse”
Abducted by masked gunmen and buried alive in a truck trailer underground, 26 innocent school children spent 28 hours held hostage in the dark before they made a harrowing escape. This week, as their convicted captor faced a parole board, some of the survivors of that 1976 kidnapping share their emotional, heart-wrenching stories and their journey in 48 HOURS: “Live to Tell: The Chowchilla Kidnapping” to be broadcast Saturday, Oct. 12 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Anchored by David Begnaud, “Live to Tell: The Chowchilla Kidnapping” is the frightening and inspiring story of a group of kidnapped children and their bus driver who worked together to survive being buried with little food and water. Told through their eyes, the survivors share personal stories of bravery and helping each other survive the unknown. The broadcast also features rarely seen images from inside the buried truck trailer where the kids were held captive.
It was one of the largest kidnappings in U.S. history. A school bus was stopped by three armed gunmen as they headed home from the Dairyland Elementary School in the small California town of Chowchilla. The men were wearing pantyhose over their faces.
“Where their eyes were, it was like, it almost looked hollow,” recalls survivor Larry Park, just 6 years old at the time. “It was like looking at death.”
One of the gunmen jumped into the driver’s seat of the bus and took off for an unknown location. Eventually, the bus pulled off the road and into a dry riverbed. The kidnappers herded the kids from the bus and packed them into the rear of two vans with the windows blacked out. One of kidnappers with a shotgun threatened the hostages.
“Walking toward it, the barrels on that gun seems like they were getting so big that they were just going to swallow me up,” Park says.
“I felt like I was an animal going to the slaughterhouse,” says survivor Jennifer Brown Hyde, who was just 9 years old at the time.
The vans took off and drove for nearly 12 unbearable hours as the children suffered in the back without toilets, food or water. The kidnappers took them to a rock quarry, 100 miles away from Chowchilla. There, one by one, the kids were told to climb down a wooden ladder into a hole in the ground. The ladder led to an old truck trailer that had been buried 12 feet underground.
“I remember it just went dark,” says survivor Michael Marshall, then 14. “And then you just hear the material getting thrown on us…we were being buried alive.”
Marshall recalls the silence, broken by someone bursting into tears.
“The thing that made me cry was not being able to say goodbye to my mom,” Marshall says, holding back tears. “And I’m remembering the last time that I saw her and wishing I could have told her goodbye.”
48 HOURS: “Live to Tell: The Chowchilla Kidnapping” takes viewers inside the terrifying ride and features some of the hostages reliving the terrifying ordeal moment-by-moment and how their lives have unfolded since that they. They broadcast also looks at the fate of the gunmen, the last of which faced a California parole board this week.
“Live to Tell” is a short-run series from the producers of 48 HOURS delivering first-person accounts of extraordinary people who refuse to give up when facing possible death. 48 HOURS: “Live to Tell: The Chowchilla Kidnapping” is produced by Chris Young Ritzen and George Osterkamp. Mead Stone and Gary Winter are the producer-editors. Joan Adelman is the editor. Anthony Venditti is the field producer. Jordan Kinsey is the Associate Producer. Nancy Kramer is the executive story editor. Judy Tygard is the series creator and executive producer.

SERIES PREMIERE – Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) never planned to be Gotham’s new vigilante. Gotham is a city in despair, the Gotham City Police Department have been overrun and outgunned by criminal gangs. Enter Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and his military-grade Crows Private Security, which now protects the city with omnipresent firepower and militia. Years before, Jacob’s first wife and daughter were killed in the crossfire of Gotham crime. He sent his only surviving daughter, Kate Kane, away from Gotham for her safety. After a dishonorable discharge from military school and years of brutal survival training, Kate returns home when the Alice in Wonderland gang targets her father and his security firm by kidnapping his best Crow officer – and Kate’s ex-girlfriend – Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy). Although remarried to wealthy socialite Catherine Hamilton-Kane (Elizabeth Anweis), who bankrolls the Crows, Jacob is still struggling with the family he lost, while keeping Kate — the daughter he still has — at a distance. But Kate is a woman who’s done asking for permission. In order to help her family and her city, she’ll have to become the one thing her father loathes — a vigilante. With the help of her compassionate stepsister, Mary (Nicole Kang), and the crafty Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), the son of Wayne Enterprises’ tech guru Lucius Fox, Kate Kane continues the legacy of her missing cousin, Bruce Wayne, as Batwoman. Still holding a flame for Sophie, Kate uses everything in her power to combat the dark machinations of the psychotic Alice (Rachel Skarsten), who’s always somewhere slipping between sane and insane. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. The episode was written by Caroline Dries and directed by Marcos Siega (#101). Original airdate 10/6/2019. Shauna: I don’t know what you’re getting at. And I don’t want to know, so just go.

Thomas: Whoa. Slow down. I have some questions about that night, too.

Shauna: Okay.

Thomas: Okay, so, you were sleeping right next to my dad all night.

Shauna: Yeah, I was, and it’s not what you think. I never crossed the line with your father.

Thomas: Crossed your mind, though, didn’t it? How could it not? I mean, he’s the one who sprung your daughter from jail. And now that Brooke knows that you spent the night–

Shauna: Wait, wait, wait. Brooke knows?

Thomas: And I’m guessing she’s not too happy about that.

Shauna: Guess not.

Thomas: Yeah, I can only see her and him going a few rounds about this till they finally break up.

Flo: Do you have a thing for married men, mom? You can tell me. We’re both adults here, I think.

Shauna: Of course I have a thing for married men.

Flo: Because they’re unattainable?

Shauna: No. Because they’re men. I also have a thing for unmarried men. And I have a thing for men who can tell long, unfunny jokes and men who have gray hair or no hair, especially men who keep my Flo out of jail. I don’t want to sleep with all of them, though. Just maybe, I don’t know, two or three, mostly because I feel sorry for them.

Flo: Wow. You know, it’s actually really surprising that I’m not more messed up than I actually am.

Shauna: Yep. It truly is, sweetheart.

Flo: Mom, you– you have become, like, unglued ever since that night you spent with Ridge.

Shauna: I have been a broken person in pieces for a long time. But because of Ridge, I’m thinking of myself not as a mom– no offense– or a Vegas retailer or an accessory to kidnapping. Because of Ridge, I’ve been thinking of myself as a sexy woman again.
