And by that, I, of course, mean the wedding of carly corinthos and jason morgan. I actually am planning most of it, and it’s coming out really nice, if I do say so myself. Weddings are just not my thing. Oh. Okay. Um, a-are you sure? ‘Cause you could be my plus-one. Curtis: We need some help here. Brook lynn: Oh, my god. Austin: Can you get that gurney? Sorry I’m late. I walked straight into the paint cans you left in the hall. Bruise on my leg’s going to be there for days. How’s that going to look at carly’s wedding? Sasha and I wanted to discuss that with you. You know what else? Can you put that box with the changing table in your room? Every time I walk in my bedroom, it’s right in the way. Well, the baby takes first priority, and I’m trying to get the nursery ready. Well, is that why you invited me to lunch? To find out when I’m getting my own apartment? [ Chuckles ] Well, uh, for one thing, uh, I told nina that I loved her.

Ms. Wu: We already agreed the best time to hit that warehouse is tonight, while mrs. Corinthos and mr. Morgan is distracted by the wedding. The plans haven’t changed. But I have a message from cyrus renault. I wouldn’t mind doing that again.
[ Monitor beeping ] How’s jordan? Mask back on, please. In a minute. Doctors always make the worst patients. I was, um, trapped in that basement with jordan. And I, um, performed chest compressions and monitored her breathing all the way to the hospital. It would really help me to know how she’s doing. Put the mask on, and I’ll check on commissioner ashford’s condition. Deal? Okay. Thank you for the coffee, but I really don’t think it’s going to calm me down. Oh, this isn’t about calming you down. This is about staying alert while we wait. Yeah, but we’re not family. They’re not going to give us any information on dr. Robinson’s or commissioner ashford’s condition. Look, I am concerned about them, but we are waiting for austin. You were right in the middle of inviting him to jason and carly’s wedding.
[ Both sigh ]
[ Monitor beeping ] Doc, how is she? Commissioner ashford’s still unconscious, and we’re treating her with pure oxygen to try and get the levels in her blood back up. How long will that take? Hard to say. I-I can’t tell you. It varies from patient to patient. We’re waiting for her blood work back to determine how much carbon monoxide is still in her system. Okay, I-I’d like to go see her. Yeah, I’m sure that you would, but I cannot allow that. I’m really sorry. It’s just that, from my understanding, you and commissioner ashford are divorced, and it’s family only. Okay, well, you understood wrong, okay? We’re not divorced. I am still her husband. Mazel tov. Go ahead.
[ Monitor beeping ] Doctor says you’re doing great. Heartbeat is steady. Now I just need you to wake up.
[ Smooches, sniffles ] Please. Mike, oh, that’s wonderful news. How did nina respond? Did she say she loves you back? Yeah, she did. Just as I predicted. You — you predicted this? Not to you, maybe. Oh. I wanted you and nina to figure it out for yourselves. But now that you have, why aren’t you with her? Because, uh, you know her friend jax? He’s back, and he’s talking a lot, and not good. That man never takes no for an answer. I can’t tell you how many times nina and i have told him to back off. Well, ye– so have I. But now she wants me to back off and talk to jax in private. I-I was talking to him. And please don’t tell me that he’s some made-up person named mike. No, mike isn’t made-up. And he’s nothing like sonny.
[ Scoffs ] He was pretty quick to threaten me. He told me to leave before I get shot again. I mean, it sounds like the old sonny I’ve always known. No, he didn’t mean it. And mike, he’s just protective of the people he — he loves. Stop calling him mike. Mike — mike is free from the mob, jax. Mike is free from the violence that has haunted sonny his entire life. And mike isn’t grieving a son that was killed. He’s not focused in on revenge and power and greed. Mike can be the good man that he is inside, that he always has been. And gave you what I couldn’t? Honesty? Yes. And you’re paying back his honesty with lies. Okay, so, if we — if we get married, it’s going to be real. You don’t have to be afraid. You’re not going to be in this alone. So we can stay best friends, figure out how to be husband and wife and fall in love and all that stuff. That’s scary. Yeah, I know. But I’m looking forward to it. Me, too.

[ Smooches ] Doc, your face tells me the news isn’t good. So, the normal level of carbon monoxide in an adult who doesn’t smoke is less than 2%. And jordan’s? Jordan’s carboxyhemoglobin level is 58%.
[ Sighing ] Okay, that doesn’t sound good. We’re going to do everything we can, and we’re going to get her levels down quickly. And if that doesn’t work, then we’ll put her in a hyperbaric chamber, because if we don’t do that, we could lose her. Doc… she can’t die. Mike is happy here. Mike has found peace with himself in a way that sonny never has. Do you remember how happy you were when you found out that sasha was your daughter? Mnh. It’s not the same thing. You were so happy to have your child in your life. You were the perfect mother-daughter match. But did your happiness justify valentin’s actions? You were torn apart when you found out the truth. Right? But you weren’t interested in valentin’s good intentions. You only cared that he manipulated you and lied to you, told you what you could and couldn’t know about your own life. I mean, is that what you want for sonny? Of course not! I don’t want to see that kind of pain in his eyes. But you will, nina. That’s inevitable. Eventually, sonny is going to find out the truth about who he really is. I can’t lose mike, jax. I won’t! You won’t lose mike, because he doesn’t exist. He never has. You two hardly know each other. Why would you want to move in together? What better way to get to know each other? We’re having a baby, ma. It makes sense to keep the family together. I’m family, but you don’t think twice about kicking me out. Maybe your new friend vincent novak can help you find a place. Maybe he will. Vincent at least knows how to treat a lady right. [ Coughing ] Mr. Renault wants to remain in control, calling the shots even from prison. At least he’s contained. We no longer have to worry about the threat that his operation once posed to our own. Once we deal with mr. Morgan and mrs. Corinthos, port charles will finally be open to all of us. We can split it three ways and operate as we see fit. We only have one chance to bring down the corinthos organization. Tonight, while the head of the five families are at the wedding, we’ll make our move. Anything from nina? Afraid not. I tell you, if I don’t hear from her soon, I’m going to the tan-o and making sure she’s okay. Good. That mr. Jacks is much too pushy for my taste. But I tell you, nina says she can handle him. I’m sure she can, but only to a point. He’ll try and wear her down. He’ll draw on their history together. I know nina has conflicting feelings where he’s concerned, and I worry that mr. Jacks could undermine her belief in her life that she’s made for herself. How long will you wait? Where’s your watch, mike?
[ Sighs ]
[ Sighs ] I decided to let it go, let the past go, and concentrate on… the future with nina. I need to text josslyn and tell her I’m so sorry for taking off like I did. Actually, I texted her that I found you, so… she called you when she realized I wasn’t home? No, actually, I stopped by to pick up my suit. Your suit. Mm-hmm. It was at the house.

[ Sighing ] Oh, wow. I mean, I know you’ve been staying there for months, but staying there is very different from living there and — mm-hmm, yeah, it’s a — it’s a big difference.
[ Sighs ] This is crazy! I mean, it’s just hitting me. We’re getting married. I mean, I-I’ve been so caught up in the politics and the five families and wondering if I could even go through with it, but this is happening. It’s real. Today’s our wedding day.
Oment,it’s my duty as a physician to inform you of the worst-case scenario. You have every right to know what kind of jeopardy that jordan is in. But I don’t believe that there’s any medical value in guesswork or trying to predict an outcome. I do, however, wholeheartedly believe that there’s incredible medical significance to somebody who cares about jordan, like you, hoping for the best. So let’s just do that. Tj: Dr. Gatlin-holt. Hi. How’s my mom? Curtis and I were just discussing her condition, and the blood work is back, and your mom is suffering from severe carbon monoxide poisoning. She only has one kidney. Is s-she in danger of renal failure? It’s a possibility. Her renal functions have been compromised. But, dr. Ashford, we’re monitoring it. Look, why don’t you go see your mom and let her know you’re here with her? I’m going to consult her nephrologist. Have me paged if her condition changes. Well, bailey falls right to sleep. She wakes up about an hour later, you know, fussing. Valentin and I find it really hard not to go in there. So you just let her cry? No! [ Scoffs ] Absolutely not. But, you know, if she wakes up and isn’t crying and is just making noises for attention, then we try to wait it out, you know, see if she could fall asleep on her own. She’s too young for self-soothing, brook lynn. When james was that age, I let him fall asleep in my arms. Well, experts say it’s really important to get a child on a routine. I know routines are important. I have two other children. Are you implying I’m a bad mom?
[ Coughing ] My son?! A stripper?! He’s really good. Okay? Everyone at carly’s bachelorette party was thrilled. He’s very entertaining. He stripped for carly? She was very appreciative. Oh. Well, of course. Of course, she’s the type who would hire a stripper. No class at all! Actually, uh, olivia quartermaine hired me. Beside the point, brando.
[ Chuckles ] You could do anything. Why this? I’m at the garage all day. I needed to find night and weekend gigs, and there aren’t a lot of those that pay well. Stripping does. Mm-hmm. W-what about you, ms. Face of “conception”? Can’t you cough up the cash? I’m tired. I’m tired of thinking about a past that I can’t remember. Well, that’s quite a gesture. I mean, you know, what is a watch compared to the woman that I love and who loves me? Hmm! Your watch was from your past. Yes. You want to show nina that you’re ready to move forward with her. I got everything I need right here with nina.
[ Both laugh ] I am so glad my two favorite people found each other. And you know what? Come hell or high water… I’m not letting nina go. There you go. Whoo! There you go. Isn’t that nice?
[ Chuckles ] You don’t understand. Mike brought me back to life when I lost my daughter… and I lost you. I was so upset and heartbroken, jax. Mike changed all that. The love that we share is real. Then it should be able to survive the truth. I mean, if you really think that he’s gonna choose you over his old life, then at least give him the information to make that choice. But it won’t be a choice because the instant that people know that sonny corinthos is alive, then mike is gonna be trapped in that world again. Because that is his world! Sonny chose it over and over. He made himself kingpin. He was ruthless and ambitious, and he got exactly what he wanted. And you know what? I’m not gonna stand by and let carly marry jason so she can manage his territory when he’s alive and he can manage it himself!
[ Chuckles ] Ohh! Of course! This isn’t about sonny. And it certainly isn’t about me. It’s about carly. Just
to be clear, I’m still committed to the business aspect. I do realize we’re putting on a show for the five families, but like you said, this wedding is about us. Yeah, it — it will be. Then we should celebrate. Oh, yeah. Trust me — maxie is gonna make sure that we celebrate. Not maxie’s celebration.
Our celebration right here at jake’s, where it all began. At jake’s? Jake’s is, uh — jake’s is gone. This is where we first met, where we had our first dance. I mean, I know there’s no pool table or bar, but — yeah, there’s no music. I don’t really hear any music, either. I — I can hear music. You can just follow my lead. Yeah, but w-we’re gonna dance at the reception. That’s a show for everybody else. This would be just for us.
[ Chuckles ]
I think you like dancing. I do not like to dance. Um, but I can’t say no to you.
[ Cellphone rings ] Oh. Sorry. It’s tony. Hey, tony. What is it? W-what’s wrong with her? Okay. All right. Thanks. Uh, one of our people saw commissioner ashford brought to general hospital. Looks like she was attacked. Do you think cyrus was involved? I don’t know. Let’s go find out. I am such an idiot. I should have known this is all about carly for you. Oh, come on. That — that is just not true! I know you’re scared. Okay? You’re scared because you know your happiness with sonny, it can’t last. And even if I kept his identity a secret, eventually he’s going to remember. You don’t know that! No one does! All right. Look. I — I understand if you don’t want to consider carly’s feelings. That’s fine. But you cannot ignore his kids. They’re back in port charles. They’re grieving for their father. And donna and avery, they’re just small children. They deserve their dad in their lives. You don’t think I know that? Remember how it felt to have wiley back in your life? Well, that boy is sonny’s grandson. Doesn’t he have the right to know sonny? Doesn’t sonny — not mike, but sonny — have the right to know wiley? Sasha’s finances are none of your business. Brando and I intend to co-parent our baby, which means that we are splitting the costs down the middle. And you think this is fair? My son is taking his pants off while you have more than enough dough to keep my grandkid in designer onesies. No one asked for your opinion. It’s our baby. We’re gonna make our decision based on what’s important to us. Gladys. What a pleasant surprise. You look lovely as always.

[ Monitor beeping ] Like when you were waiting on a kidney transplant. But you pulled through then. And you’ll pull through now, right? I mean, who else is — who else is gonna make sure I keep my head on right? And I am not above playing the guilt card here. I’m not. Because you know how much I love you… and how destroyed I would be if you left, so… you’ve got to stay here, mom. Just… stay. I could not stand by while my infant was upset. I’m not just sitting around filing my nails, maxie. I just think it’s better to — to let her try to fall asleep on her own if she can. Is it easier for you to ignore bailey because you’re not really her mother? I don’t ignore bailey. And as long as peter is still out in the world and a threat to you and your daughter, I am bailey lois’ mother, and I will parent her the best way that I can. Portia! We heard that jordan was brought into the E.R. What happened? Yeah, well, I was with her. Jordan and I were trapped in the basement with a gas leak. If curtis hadn’t have found us… we would have died. Do you know who was behind it? Doc, what did jordan’s nephrologist say? If her kidney functions don’t improve, we’ll put her on dialysis. Dialysis?

Mom’s here. They — they brought her in with carbon-monoxide poisoning, which is — it’s bad for anyone, but she’s only got one kidney, and that makes it even worse. Thanks. You know, even though we couldn’t be together anymore… …I never stopped loving you. I couldn’t if I tried.
[ Laughs ] What? Nothing. I just love seeing you so happy. Well, you gotta give nina the credit. You know? Well, I’ll be sure and thank her. I can’t think of any way to justify keeping sonny away from his kids and… denying avery and donna and wiley a chance to get to know him, so… mike’s gonna find out the truth — that he has this whole other world that I was — I was keeping from him, that he has these people that love him that are waiting for him… that our life here in nixon falls, our time together, it was just an illusion. I’m really sorry. I-I really am. And if you think that I did this to hurt you in any way, you couldn’t be more wrong, okay? Just do me a favor. Let me tell him. Let me tell him in private. [ Footsteps approach ] Jax: Here’s your chance. There was a body in the basement, and we believe it to be a man named roger barstow? Curtis and I went there to go speak with him, and jordan was there on a different case. Okay, does this have anything to do with cyrus renault? I thought cyrus renault was in prison. Uh, he is, but that does not mean he’s powerless. Well, this, um, barstow was the former employee of a medical clinic by the name of crichton-clark. Maxie, it was your decision to give me your daughter and let me pretend that she was mine and valentin’s, but you should know I love bailey. And I always do what I think is best for her. Brook lynn, I know you’re doing the best you can. But you are not her mother. I am. And I should be making decisions about her care. Do you think this is connected to the work that you were doing with mom? It has to be. Your mom was going to question a man named roger barstow about a possible connection to naomi dreyfus, but I don’t have any idea how portia and curtis got involved. It’s a good thing they did. I — I think they saved mom’s life. Come on, jordan. Don’t break my heart again. Or tj’S. You still have so many great things to do in this world. And I know how much you hate leaving anything unfinished. So fight. Fight as hard as I know you can.

[ Cellphone chimes ] Oh, that’s josslyn saying that we are now officially late. Well, then, we should get going. Okay. I’ll see you at the altar.
[ Cellphone rings ] Yeah. I’m listening. Dad, I told my supervisor I have a family emergency, so another doctor is taking over my rounds for me. Look. Your mom’s tough, tj. All right? She’ll come through this. That’s what I tell myself, but still… it’s all right, bud. Curtis: [ Voice breaking ] Your family needs you.
I need you. They way I see it, you’ve got no choice. You got to come back to us.
[ Exhales shakily ] Jordan?
[ Chuckles ]
[ Line ringing ] Phyllis: Nina?
[ Stammers ] Phyllis. Um, is mike there? No, he accidentally left his phone behind. He’s on his way to the tan-O. Is everything all right? Everything’s fine.
[ Door opens ] Oh. Never mind. Mike’s here now. Um, we’ll talk soon, okay?
