Hope: The seamstress is working on this one. I can’t wait to see it on the model.
Steffy: Well, don’t let him slow this down with this nitpicking.
Hope: Oh no, I told thomas that I don’t want to change a thing.
Steffy: He’s always been a perfectionist, but when it comes to hope for the future, nothing less will do.
Hope: Well, his attention to detail is impeccable.
Steffy: I know I’m just being hard on my brother. He’s amazing, he’s such a talent.
Hope: Not to mention dedicated. I mean, when he isn’t spending time with douglas, he’s mostly here at the office.
Steffy: Yeah, um, up half the night, designing for you. He’s a hard worker, I just think he should be getting out. Am I right?
Hope: Okay, steffy, I, I understand that you’re worried that your brother still has feelings for me, and I get that you want him to move on and be happy with someone else, but believe me, I want the same thing for him too.
Paris: When zoey left town, I thought I might feel alone here.
Thomas: Well, I hope you don’T.
Paris: Not at all. Everyone here is so supportive and encouraging. I’m a part of an amazing team, and I get to make an impact with the foundation.
Thomas: And hope for the future.
Paris: You know, it’s definitely not what I imagined working at a fashion house would be like. The people are just…
Thomas: Not all bad?
[ Laughing ]
Paris: Well, when you ask for my honest opinion, you get what you get.
Thomas: Okay, that’s true. That’s true, and that’s what I need. Especially for the collection.
Paris: Yeah, it’s been super exciting, you know? Getting to see the process, all the designs. What you and zende do is so cool.
Thomas: Well, you know, as a designer, I can get so caught up in the way I look at it, you know? I’m seeing all these tiny, little details, but you, you know, you bring something new too. When you look at it, you think about the emotion that it evokes, and that kind of feedback is energizing.
Paris: Well hey, anything you need, I’m there. Even though I am not a designer.
Thomas: But you are an innovator, paris. I mean, look at the way you changed the foundation. You’ve got this special talent, you know, a creative spirit, and that, I am very intrigued by. I’m looking forward to getting to know you more.
Zende: Oh. Hey. Am I interrupting something?
Steffy: This building is full of beautiful, interesting women, but thomas doesn’t notice because he never looks up from his sketch pad. I mean, he could have a date every night, if he wanted to.
Hope: Have you talked to him about it?
Steffy: Does teasing count?
[ Both laughing ] Yeah, it’s probably not the best way to get him to open up.
Hope: Hmm, yeah, not exactly.
Steffy: I just want him to know that I trust him,& and I want him to happy and healthy.
Hope: Well, I mean, given thomas’ history, I understand why there’s reason to be concerned, but I really don’t think there’s anything going on.
Steffy: I don’t know.
[ Door knocking ]
Liam: Hey!
Steffy: Liam, hey!
Liam: My meeting got canceled, so I cut out early, and I thought, maybe my wife could… what, what’s going on?
Hope: Nothing.
Steffy: We were talking about thomas.
Liam: Ah. Okay.
Paris: No, you are not interrupting anything, and actually, I was just about to come looking for you.
Zende: Ah. Did you two finish your lovely design?
Thomas: We did, and she transformed it into something I’m really excited about.
Paris: Oh, I only gave one, tiny suggestion. Maybe two.
Thomas: You got an eye for this, paris.
Paris: Oh please, it’s not hard to see something special in your designs. They’re gorgeous and ground-breaking.
Zende: But somehow, you can look at them, and what will make them just a little bit better.
Thomas: Not everybody can do that.
Zende: Paris is full of surprises.
Paris: That’s right, and I have got a big surprise for you.
Zende: For me?
Paris: Yeah. You actually came just in time, because we actually can’t be late for this, so–
Zende: Wait, late for what?
Paris: The dodgers game.
Zende: Seriously?
Paris: Yeah! I know how much you wanted to go.
Zende: I have been waiting for this game all season, and I just didn’t get tickets in time.
Paris: Yeah, not only will you have tickets– never mind. You’ll find that out later, but we can’t be late.
Zende: Uh, well, let’s go. Do I have the best girlfriend in the world, or what? I can’t believe you did this. Thomas, didn’t I tell you? Paris is awesome. Woohoo!
Thomas: Well, you two have fun. I’ll be, you know… checking out the game, probably, so maybe I’ll see you on tv.
Paris: Yeah, maybe you will.
[ Crowd cheering ]
Zende: Paris, this is awesome. The tunnels of dodgers stadium? I mean, talk about a surprise! How did you even–
Paris: Hey, you haven’t seen nothing yet. You wanted a surprise and I promised you a surprise, and I am not gonna let you down.
Zende: This isn’t it? Okay, we better get to our seats, I don’t want to miss first pitch.
Paris: Trust me, you won’t miss a thing.
Steffy: Yeah, that’s fine, we can reschedule for next week. All right, bye.
Hope: I want thomas to find someone, but I also don’t think it’s a big deal, if he hasn’t yet.
Liam: I mean, I, I admit he doesn’t seem fixated on you, right now.
Hope: He’s not. Most of his time is spent with douglas, which is what we wanted.
Liam: Can’t complain about that.
Steffy: I love that they’re spending time together, I do, but thomas needs to get out, and that’s good for douglas. Thomas just needs to be happy and content with his life.
Liam: Oh!
Thomas: Hey, uh, liam, is everything all right?
Liam: Yeah, it’s good, it’s good. I just, I swung by to try to get hope to leave early.
Thomas: Oh, if you guys need a date night, I could watch the kids.
Hope: Oh, that’s nice of you to offer.
Liam: Yes, thank you!
Steffy: Yeah, and if you have a date, thomas, hope and liam could return the favor.
Liam: Okay, we should get going. Bye guys.
Hope: Bye!
Thomas: See ya. Why do I feel like I walked in on something?
Steffy: We were just talking.
Thomas: Let me guess, this is–
Steffy: No, no, no, it’s nothing. I actually wanna know about you and paris. How did that go?
Thomas: What do you mean?
Steffy: I know she was giving you and zende some input about the designs.
Thomas: Uh yeah, she’s been really helpful.
Steffy: I’m actually interested to hear what she has to say. Is she around?
Thomas: Uh, no. She was, but she took zende to the dodger game.
Steffy: Ah.
Thomas: Zende is a lucky guy.
Zende: Not a bad way to spend the afternoon.
Paris: Yeah, I did let hope know that we might be leaving the office a little early today.
Zende: We should really get to our seats. I want to grab a dodger dog before the game. The national anthem will start soon.
Representative: Hey, paris. Right on time.
Paris: Yeah. I couldn’t be late for this. Uh, deter, this is my boyfriend, zende.
Deter: Good to meet you. You must be pretty excited.
Zende: Uh, I am, this is so cool.
Deter: We have everything set up. All we need is paris. You’re ready?
Paris: As ready as I can be.
Zende: Uh, for what?
Deter: He…doesn’t know. You’re in for a real treat.

Hope: Mm hm. Kids won’t be back until after dinner.
Liam: Yes, and you know what that means.
Hope: Hm, that can we finally organize their rooms? Clean up their mess?
Liam: No, no, I did that with them this morning.
Hope: Wait a second. Did you plan this little rendezvous? What, what happened to your late meeting?
Liam: Well, that’s why we cleaned up. I knew you might have the house to ourselves tonight, you could relax, I don’t know, maybe light some candles. Read a book, soak in the tub, go down some obscure, social media rabbit hole.
Hope: Well, that does sound wonderful.
Liam: Yeah, I can even take off if you want. Give you a little me-time.
Hope: Nah-uh. Don’t you dare.
Steffy: Sounds like paris really got your attention.
Thomas: Yeah, well, I, I think of these things, these sketches like a designer does. I think about what this is going to do, but she sees it like… the impression that it makes, and what it says about the woman wearing it.
Steffy: That’s an interesting perspective.
Thomas: It’s one that I think hope for the future could use more of.
Steffy: Well, if you’re excited about it, so am I.
Thomas: Well, you know, everyone has something great to say about her work at the foundation, how wonderful she is, how caring, how giving. I think zende is right. She, she really is full of surprises.
Steffy: What kind of surprises?
Zende: Do I have the best girlfriend in the world, or what? I can’t believe you did this. Thomas, didn’t I tell you? Paris is awesome.
Thomas: I–
Steffy: Thomas, where did you go?
Thomas: What? Uh, sorry. Sorry.
Steffy: What kind of surprises?
Thomas: Um, I’m sorry, I was just thinking about how she is taking zende to the game. You know, I think I’m actually jealous.
Steffy: Oh, really?
Thomas: Yeah. I mean, you know how much the dodgers mean to me, and this is a really important game. Actually, you know what?
[ Scoffing ]
Deter: Okay, we’re coming out. It’s time.
Zende: It’s time for what? Paris, what is going on?
Paris: I’ll be right back, you can watch from here, okay? Wish me luck.
Zende: No!
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, singing our national anthem tonight is a member of the los angeles fashion world, and a leader in our city’s philanthropic community. Please welcome, paris buckingham.
[ Applause ]
Thomas: Paris is singing the national anthem?

[ Chuckling ]
Liam: Yeah? Well, I guess we just have to steal these moments whenever we can.
[ Gasping ]
Hope: Or, make more time for them.
Liam: Well, that’s tough for two busy parents.
Hope: I know, but I think it’s important to have this alone time, so I can show you how much I love you, my handsome, sexy, husband.
Liam: Wait, that was it? I thought there was gonna be, I thought there would be a whole list, like, handsome, sexy, funny, competent–
Hope: We don’t have time for that.
Liam: That’s fair. Same for you, I guess. Do you know something? Do you know when we were apart, I used to do this thing, ’cause I would lie awake at night, all the time, and I would try to remember every single thing that I love about you. I mean, every detail, your laugh, the face that you make when you’re telling the kids a funny story. How you would just touch my hand in the car, while we were driving, things like that. Just… all the things that I promised myself that I would never, ever take for granted, if I ever got to hold you again, and… I won’T. Ever.
Paris: And the rocket’s

Zende: Nice! Go, paris!
Steffy: Wow!
Thomas: Did you know that paris could sing like that?
Steffy: Lullabies and kids’ songs, but nothing like that.
Thomas: She’s incredible.
Steffy: Yeah, that she is. I mean, finn and I, we enjoyed having her stay at our house. She was so good with the kids, and she is a powerhouse here at work. And what she’s doing with the foundation, all the input she’s giving, she’s really just putting new energy into it, new identity.
Thomas: Yeah, I mean I saw that, but… her voice, you know, it’s just such power, such confidence and emotion.
Steffy: Yeah, that’s paris.
Thomas: It’s beautiful.
Steffy: She is, inside and out.
Thomas: She really is.
Zende: Get over here!
[ Cheering ]
Paris: Oh my goodness, that was crazy.
Thomas: Paris has so much talent, I can’t believe it. I mean I know that she’s always had this enthusiasm, and style and sense of humor, but there’s so much more. I’ve never met anyone like her.
