Ridge: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.
Brooke: I’m just relieved it was you. First I– hurt my ankle and then the power went out.
Ridge: Well, it’s windy outside, that’s probably what caused the blackout.
Brooke: I know there’s tons of security out there, but I still thought maybe it was sheila coming to get me. I’m just glad you’re here.
[ Door opens ]
Thomas: Hey, mom.
Taylor: Hi! Hi, babe. How was your day?
Thomas: I grabbed these for you.
Taylor: Oh, my gosh. Honey, they’re beautiful. Thank you.
Thomas: Of course. I figured you could use a– a little pick me up.
Taylor: I really, really could. Thank you so much. They– they’re gorgeous. You’re– you’re the best roommate ever.
Thomas: Okay. So, it’s not so bad having me around, then?
Taylor: No, I love having you here. Especially with steffy being away.
Thomas: What are you looking at?
Taylor: Pictures.
[ Thomas sighs ]
Thomas: Happier days.
Taylor: Yeah. You know steffy and finn were such a cute couple. But he’s gone now. She’s– she’s lost her husband… forever. I wish so much for her that finn was still alive.
[ Heart rate monitor beeping ]
Sheila: I’m so sorry.
Finn: You shot me.
Sheila: I’m so sorry. Please, you’ve got to believe me. I– it was just an accident. I– I never meant to hurt you. Please. You’ve just got– you’ve got to believe me, finn. You just have to believe me.
Taylor: These are so beautiful. You know, your father was here earlier, talked to steffy.
Thomas: Oh. How’s she doing?
Taylor: Well. You know, she’s– she’s doing as well as she possibly can.
Thomas: I’m glad to hear that. I do miss her, though.
Taylor: Me too. So much.
Thomas: But now, I am so glad that she’s out of town. Considering what happened with sheila. For steffy’s safety.
Ridge: Here. Take this.
Brooke: Oh, wow.
Ridge: Gets the inflammation down.
Brooke: My hero.
[ Brooke clears her throat ]
Ridge: I texted the jacksons up the road and they have no power either. It’s the whole neighborhood.
Brooke: Sounds like we’re in for a long night. Just the two of us. Cut off from the rest of the world.
Ridge: I could think of worse predicaments.
Brooke: Me too. House is cozy and safe. Thanks to you.
Ridge: I’m here for you.
Sheila: Oh. That– that night in the alley, I– I didn’t see you. You weren’t supposed to be there. And by the time I did, it was– it was already too late. You– you have to believe me. It was such a terrible– mistake. Because I love you. I would never do anything to harm you.
[ Heart rate monitor beeping ]
Sheila: Put the phone down. Don’t do it, steffy.
[ Steffy sobbing ]
Finn: You. You were going to shoot steffy.

Brooke: Sheila made me doubt myself. Made me question who I am. And also, she’s making me fear for my life.
Ridge: You don’t have to worry about sheila as long as I’m around.
Brooke: Well, you are all that I need, ridge. When you’re here, everything is fine. But when you’re not–
Ridge: I know.
Brooke: Just been hard, you know, living with myself, feeling the shame and guilt for breaking my sobriety. Kissing deacon. And the worst part of it was seeing you in pain.
Ridge: That’s why I’m here. So I think about you, something maybe hurting you, and I can’t sleep. I’ll always be here.
Taylor: I can’t believe sheila escaped.
Thomas: It’s like one minute of peace and then she makes a break for it.
Taylor: How have the police not found her?
[ Cell phone rings ]
Thomas: Hang on. Hello. Uh, yeah. Yeah. Send him up. Jack’s here.
Taylor: That makes sense.
[ Knocking on door ]
Thomas: Jack, hey.
Jack: Thomas. Thank you. I, uh, tried calling.
Taylor: It’s okay, jack. I– I’m glad you’re here. I’ve been thinking about you. It’s been a few days since we last spoke.
Jack: Well, I, uh, I have been laying low. I’ve been to myself. There’s something oddly comforting about being here in, in finn’s home.
Taylor: Well, you’re his father. You’re welcome here any time.
Thomas: Yeah. Uh, can I get you like some tea or water?
Jack: No, thank you. Saw that you’ve increased security since the last time I came by.
Thomas: Yeah, well, we can’t be too safe these days.
Jack: It’s crazy that they haven’t found shelia yet.
Taylor: I know. We were just saying the same thing.
Jack: What that woman did to my son. I miss him, taylor. I miss my boy so much.
Finn: You were going to— you were going to shoot steffy.
Sheila: I can explain.
[ Finn moans ]
Sheila: I know. I know. You must be angry. I am, too. But steffy, she just wouldn’t let up. She wouldn’t listen. And– I asked her nicely, repeatedly. And– and she– she just wouldn’t give your mom any slack at all. If only– if– if only she hadn’t tried so hard to keep me away from you and hayes.
[ Finn moans ]
Finn: Hay– hayes.
[ Coughing ] My– my son, hayes.
Sheila: Yes.
Finn: Where is he?
Sheila: Yes, your son, hayes, is– is okay. Hayes is– is fine. I promise you that. And he’s healthy, and he’s strong. Hebaby, you just— did you hurt my wife? – Look, this isn’t my first rodeo,
Jack: Some days, I, uh… I can’t even get out of bed. I just can’t accept that finn is gone.
Taylor: I’m so sorry, jack. I know li is grieving, too.
Thomas: Yeah. Um, have you been able to connect with her?
Jack: Since I told her about my affair with sheila, she’s completely cut me out of her life. I’d like to visit my son’s final resting place. Do you know where it is?
Taylor: Ah, I– I am sorry. I don’T. Um. The ambulance took finn to a different hospital, and li handled all of that. When we asked her for information, she wouldn’t give us any details. She wouldn’t talk about the memorial. She got very angry. I– come on, steffy deserves to know.
Jack: I need to see li. And hear her voice. Grieve with her.
Taylor: I know. Losing a child is one of the most traumatic things a parent could ever experience. I’m sure li is just– drowning in grief.
Ridge: The past few months have been tough. Finn. Steffy. Being away from you.
Brooke: I never meant to betray you.
Ridge: But it– it was a betrayal, it was. Everything with deacon, and– and the days leading up to it. Everything we lost and– I think back on that now, and–
Brooke: I never would have kissed deacon, if I was sober.
Ridge: I know that. I– I know that. And I see you sitting here, I just want to help you.
Brooke: You want to help me with my broken ankle? It’s really sweet.
Ridge: I want to help you because you got hurt, and I wasn’t here.
[ Brooke sighing ] What would you say if I told you that I want to come home?
Brooke: Ah, I would say those are the words that I’ve been waiting to hear for a very long time.
Ridge: I want to come home. If you’ll have me.
Brooke: Of course. Of course.
Finn: Is… steffy… okay?
Sheila: I– I told you. Steffy is fine. She and– and kelly and hayes, they’re away on vacation.
Finn: Wh– away?
Sheila: Baby, I know. I know how difficult this is for you, how confusing it must be. And– I don’t want to say or do anything that’s going to hinder your recovery. But there is one more thing you need to know. Steffy thinks you’re dead. Everybody thinks you’re dead.
Finn: What? No, no–
Sheila: No, no, no, no, no. Baby, you can’t get out of bed. You can’t– you injured your lumbar spine and you can’t get out of bed yet, okay?
Finn: I need a hospital.
Sheila: No, you can’t get out of bed, but you’re getting so much better now.
Finn: Hospital.
Sheila: Now, shhh.
Finn: Hospital. I need a– I need a–
Sheila: I’m not– I can’t take you to the hospital. Things are just too complicated. Please don’t get upset. I am– I am here. I’m taking care of you. And you will see steffy again. I– I promise you that.
Finn: Steffy? Need my wife.
[ Heart rate monitor beeping ] Ready to shine from the inside out?
Thomas: Tough seeing that.
Taylor: Jack is devastated.
Thomas: Poor guy. Man, it was his only child.
Taylor: Ah! If only finn hadn’t been taken from steffy.
Brooke: So this is a– a doctor patient relationship?
Ridge: Sure.
Brooke: Yeah.
Ridge: You see me as a doctor or a patient, or– cause it all seems right to me.
Brooke: Hmm. Not sure. But, yeah it does. It seems like a step in the right direction. Well. Maybe not step.
Ridge: I will hobble anywhere with you.
Brooke: Hobble. Oh, okay. Yeah. All right. Sounds good.
Ridge: Just live in the moment.
Brooke: Yeah, live in the moment.
Ridge: Exactly.
Brooke: I like the sound of that.
Fine: Hosp–
Sheila: No. No, I– I’m not taking you there. Trust me. Those doctors left you for dead. Your mother saved your life.
Finn: You? You–
Shelia: Yes. Yes, I– I saved you.
Finn: Where– where’s mom? She– she– she’s a doctor.
Sheila: I’m your mother, I’m your mother. You died, finn. You flatlined. But I never– I never gave up on you. Now, look at you. A new lease on life. Mommy’s here, baby. Mommy is here and she’s going to take care of you. Does that sound good?
Finn: Steffy?
Sheila: Damnit, finn. Just do what mommy says. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, I– I didn’t mean to lose con– control. I just– this– this whole thing, it’s– it’s just been very confusing. And it’s been a very stressful situation for me. But at the same time, look– it’s been a miracle. Look at you. Look at you, you’re alive. And– and you’re awake. You’ve got your whole life to live. See– see steffy and hayes.
Finn: Now.
Sheila: No. No, not now. You’re going to have your whole life to spend with them. But, now… you’re here with me. Your mother.
Finn: I’m stuck in here with a crazy woman. But I’m alive. I have to find a way out of here. Get home to steffy. Soon, steffy. I’ll be home with you, and our son. My beautiful family. I will see you soon.
