Dustin-Shane M.
Dustin-Shane Merrill was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He has been a loyal fan and viewer of General Hospital for 37 years. His favorite storyline from the archives would be “anything to do with Anna Devane and Duke Lavery.” He feels that Anna and Duke captured the essence of the super couple in a way that hasn’t been seen since Luke and Laura. Shane’s favorite character is Carly Corinthos – he loves her devotion to family and how she will go to any lengths to protect what is hers.
Shane is a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant; he holds an Associate of Science degree from the University of Georgia, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a doctorate in Social Psychology from the University of Washington.
Shane counts his most positive traits as being kind, generous and a fiercely-loyal friend; however, he is the first to admit that he is impatient and is very put-off by ignorant people.
Shane is a world traveler and lists Paris, Tokyo and Charleston as three of his all-time favorite destinations. He loves music, sings and plays five instruments.
Shane has lived in Chicago, Portland, Seattle and Minneapolis in addition to his native Birmingham. His hobbies include attending concerts, travel, reading, writing, playing the piano and collecting vinyl albums and celebrity autographs. Anita P. joined TVMEG.COM in March of 2022, volunteering as a proofreader of General Hospital transcripts. She is a college student in her 50’s in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and English. Anita, who has been a fan of GH since the 80’s, loves a great story. Whether she is watching them on the screen, reading them, or writing them herself, great stories with complex, well-developed characters are her passion. Anita, a former Optician/Office Manager, is currently exploring career options to pursue in the writing field when she completes her degree. Her ultimate goal is to have a career in a field she loves and time to write and publish her own work, as well as plenty of time to spend with family.

My name is Nicole, but I go by Niki. I am 46, and I have two sons that live next to me. Their names are Kintrel & Nicolas. Kintrel is 26 and Nicolas is 25. My dad lives next to me, and he’s 81. He’s the best and my sons are such good young men. I am very proud of them. I also have two pitbulls. One is a female pitbull named Kali, and she is 5. There is a male named Kilo, and he just turned one. My youngest son and I are best friends. Hee takes care of me and sometimes gets mad at me. He tells me how it is and isn’t (but not disrespectfully, though).
I proofread the Days of our Lives Transcripts, and I enjoy doing them. I love typing. I used to watch Port Charles, but ABC cancelled it. I stopped watching General Hospital when they shut down my show,. Then I was in love with this show named “If Loving You Is Wrong,” but OWN canceled producer Tyler Perry’s show without giving us the answers we needed. I loved that show. I’ve been watching Days of our Lives on and off since I was a baby. My grandma watched it until she passed. She called them her stories.
I never watch regular TV — I just watch YouTube videos. I love getting subscription boxes and love spending time with my family.

Hi! My name is Lori, and I’m currently writing the B&B Short Recaps, the Best Lines for B&B and GH, and proofreading/editing the GH transcripts.
Like many of you, I am a huge fan of soap operas! I guess you’d say my mom got me started at a very young age, in the early 1970s when she tuned in to Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. As I got older, I spent my summers enjoying the CBS morning lineup of Search for Tomorrow and Young and the Restless and then switching over in the afternoon to ABC with One Life to Live, The Edge of Night, and General Hospital; I’ve been watching B&B since it debuted in 1986. Unfortunately, when I was in elementary school and junior high, we didn’t have a way to record our shows like we do now, so I would catch up reading the previous week’s summaries in magazines like Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly or TV Guide. Here’s a fun fact: I was such a huge fan of GH during its heyday in the early 80s that I decided to write a storyline, complete with dialogue, and send it to Gloria Monty, the producer behind the Luke & Laura phenomenon. To this day, it is the most cherished rejection letter I’ve ever received, and I still believe that Louisa (“Lou”) Swenson was loosely based on a character I created. LOL!
I’m originally from the West Coast. After a stint in the Army, I lived in the Midwest for 16 years and then moved to South Carolina in 2006, where I currently live with my husband of 25+ years and our three cats Jasper, Mia, and Maddie. I have a grown daughter, who still lives in the Midwest with her husband and my only grandchild. In my free time, I enjoy watching HGTV, reading biographies, crafting, gardening, photography, and traveling to the beach, where I love to collect seashells and observe the shorebirds.

My name is Joseph, and I was born on February 14, 1991. I have lived in Texas all of my life, and I have two older brothers. I graduated from Richland High School in 2009. I am a huge fan of pro wrestling, having watched it since I was born, and I also love all sorts of music. I’ve enjoy watching most of the main soaps on TV (AMC, OLTL, Days, GH, and some Y&R) as well as a few other television shows and have written All My Children updates here since November 2010. Zina Wyman has spent the past 30 years living in San Diego, California. Originally from Boston, she is a born and bred Red Sox fan. She graduated from the University of San Diego in 2001 – receiving a BA in History, and a paralegal certificate. Since 2001, she has worked for the indigent through legal non-profit organizations, in defense of civil rights. She is an avid photographer, having been taking photographs at San Diego Comic-con since 1999. Her favorite, taken quite by chance, and not very good, is of the late great Ray Bradbury. She also has worked as a photographer for corporate events. She loves to travel, and take photographs wherever she goes. If it were possible, she would live in Venice, Italy. When she’s not working hard in civil rights defense, she lives in a cottage surrounded by trees, with her husband, 2 cats and an old dog.

I create, maintain, host and program websites for myself and also host sites for other people. I used to create sites and software professionally for clients, but I am finding working on my own sites more rewarding. I know many programming languages such as PHP and HTML. I collect episodes of TV programs I watch, and some I don’t watch. My favourite prime time shows are House and Boston Legal. My other favourite ended series are Norm, Becker, Still Standing, Blackadder and Frasier. I like most types of music including old (Kenny Rogers) punk/rock (Simple Plan, Linkin Park) and sometimes listen to classical (Mozart, Beethoven) while I work on sites.

Our names are Michele and Cheryl. We are twins sisters who work on the TV MegaSite. We’re from Newark, New Jersey. We’ve lived in New Jersey for the bulk of our lives. We’ve worked on the MegaSite for two years. We started out writing opinions for the MegaSite’s Passions page and then we became the managers of the page. We write opinions columns, winners and losers, countdown, nitpicks/flubs, moments, and lines of the week. We also write predictions, poems, and we put up quizzes. We gather news and scoops for the NBC newsletter, and we host the Days and Passions message board.
In our spare time, we like to listen to music, write, read, watch movies, use the computer, and shop. We love to watch Days and Passions. We have been watching Days for almost 15 years and we’ve been watching Passions since it debuted. We also write other columns for both shows at other pages. Maybe we should consider being writers on the shows. LOL! Since we enjoy writing about the shows so much, maybe we can become writers one day.

I enjoy writing the “Days of Our Lives” opinion articles for this site. I live and grew up in Brooklyn, just like the book “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.” I did get a chance, when I was in college in my twenties, to live in upstate New York, in Poughkeepsie, for a while. I went to a community college there. I majored in the health care field and continued in that until I received my BS from St. Francis College in Health Care Management. I married on September 16, 1984 and had two children named Benjamin (who is now 27) and Natalie (now 17). They take up a good part of my life. Although I worked previously in the health care field, right now I am an Advertising Sales Rep for a magazine in Brooklyn as well as a Sales Representative in a Real Estate Company. I enjoy both part-time jobs.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out at a local gym, researching medical information on the internet, listening to music, and of course, shopping (as most women of my age do). Every ten years my hobbies change with the passing of time. I also have enjoyed taking courses either online or in an adult education program. I feel that the mind never stops working and has to be challenged. That is why I feel that keeping extremely busy and always wanting to learn new things will challenge my mind.
I also enjoy watching “Days of Our Lives” very much, when I have some spare time. I started watching the show 3 years ago and have not stopped. Some of the problems that the characters face are very similar to the problems and challenges that viewers face. I feel more involved with the show now that I can write these opinion articles about it. The most important feature that I have is that I enjoy talking to and working with people. I’m a people person and that gives me a sense of fulfillment.

Jake Glazier is a writer, editor, and contributor to The TV MegaSite. Born in San Diego (but raised in Northern Minnesota), he has returned to San Diego because he does not appreciate the Fargo accents, snowmobile gang rivalries, and arctic winters.
With a background in broadcasting and audio production, Jake has recorded commercials for several car dealerships and casinos. He spends his days eating burritos and his nights producing magical content for SoundCloud under the moniker “Your Text Spoken“. Your Text Spoken is his whimsical audio empire and Jake has been labeled “The Voice of Twitter”. This dude takes funny tweets and converts them into mp3 files. He records the voice-overs in an effort to entertain the masses, take the internet to the next level, and gain employment by Cartoon Network.

Hello, my name is Anthony, and I write B&B updates. I am originally from Michigan. I now live in South Carolina. I love to watch TV in general; I can get hooked on pretty much any show when I give it a chance! My favorite shows are Desperate Housewives, Nurse Jackie, Shameless (both UK and US versions), Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, One Life to Live, All My Children, General Hospital, The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful. I was a devoted Guiding Light fan for several years while it was still on TV.
I love soap operas in general. I think One Life to Live is probably my favorite show of all as I almost never missed an episode. Other interests of mine are reading, theater, and writing stories!

As a writer I always find it so easy to write and create content that will inspire; teach and enthrall all who read it, so I was truly frustrated at how difficult it was for me to actually write a Bio about myself!!! So…….here goes……
Born and raised in sunny South Africa where I currently live as a single mother of four gorgeous talented children; Gemma (18yrs; leaving to live and study at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in 2016); Olivia (15yrs); Luciano (13yrs and the only boy) and last but not least Isabella (11yrs going on 40 something due to her immense wisdom!). I chose to home school all four of my children due to the fact that talent is not seen as “good enough” unless you are an A+ student! But being wired differently is what makes life interesting and what drives us to succeed.
From a young age I was always enthralled with acting; dancing and entertaining but despite being cast in almost every school play and event that allowed me to be up on stage, I did not end up pursuing a career in the arts; instead I followed the usual normal structure of society. I have tried every job possible but only as a means of making a living and it wasn’t until I decided to quit the corporate world of Financial Planning and start working as a writer that I felt truly fulfilled.
There is something that seems to shift inside when one realizes that 40 is half way to 80!! Right?! This is, when life started looking more like a “Cease the Day” EVERYDAY opportunity to me. Therefore, when I was given the added opportunity to be able to work with Suzanne on The TV MegaSite, it not only intrigued me but also made me feel like it was an opportunity that I DID NOT want to miss out on; so Suzanne, thank you once again for the patience and opportunity to work with you.
No matter how hard life seems there is always something to look forward to regardless of what struggle may need to be overcome first!
Love life and live it to its fullest measure is how I embrace each day with my amazing children.

Amanda D.
Amanda first started working for the site in 2000 when founder Suzanne split her TV site from Suzann.com and made it The TV MegaSite. Credited as co-founder because of all of her contributions during that time, Amanda has worked for the site off and on through the years, contributing links, photos, HTML work, FrontPage editing, transcripts, and tons of other stuff. A very creative and ambitious person, Amanda has produced many great ideas, including expanding the daytime section of the site with tons of links and adding many more shows. She donated her flourishing site, “Amanda’s Y&R Fan Page”, now the Y&R section, which has grown since then for the better. Amanda currently makes wallpapers for the site. She loves working for the site and is always adding more responsibilities or offering more helpful suggestions.
Amanda lives in Huntsville, Ontario (Canada). She stays close to home because she is epileptic, has social anxiety and takes care of a 4-bedroom house for her dad. Her dad and uncle live with her. Her dad is disabled, so she helps with the housework and general upkeep of the house. It’s a lot of work, but she enjoys it. She also enjoys taking care of her 18-year-old cat, Tigerlily (Tiger for short). Her father and uncle also live in the house with her. She loves watching, taping, and trading soaps and other TV shows; learning new computer software; spending time with her family; and working for The TV MegaSite, where she helps out whenever she can (mostly making wallpapers).
Amanda has a lot of medical issues, such as epilepsy, asthma, and residual schizophrenia.
