The Country Music Association announced today “CMA Fest,” the Music Event of Summer, will air WEDNESDAY, AUG. 3, at 8/7c on ABC. The three-hour primetime concert special, bringing Country Music’s Ultimate Fan Experience to a national television audience, will be hosted by Dierks Bentley and Elle King.
This marks both Bentley and King’s “CMA Fest” hosting debut. Bentley takes the Nissan Stadium stage to perform Sunday, June 12.
Filmed during Nashville’s four-day CMA Fest Thursday through Sunday, June 9-12, the television special features performances and surprise collaborations onstage at Nissan Stadium. This year, 2022, marks the 19th consecutive year CMA has produced a summer concert TV special.

He raised more than $690 million from “five principal investors” using legally binding debt agreements in the form of promissory notes. Horowitz started soliciting money from investors on behalf of 1inMM Productions, his film production company, which was backed by fake distribution deals and the fake rights agreements. He borrowed money for six months to a year promising a return of up to 40 percent on the investment, telling investors the production intended to use their money to secure the distribution rights to various films in regional geographies and then sell those rights to streamers such as Netflix and HBO. The con was up when F.B.I. agents arrested Horowitz at his $5.7 million home in Beverlywood. Coming out of WWE SummerSlam, the red brand saw returns, debuts, and even a celebrity having his first one-on-one match in company history.
Most notably, Triple H, in his first couple of weeks in charge of creative, clearly sought to shake things up in the women’s division. With the “Raw” Women’s Championship staying around the waist of Bianca Belair for now, her next major challenge became apparent when a returning Bayley made her way down the ramp before stopping, allowing two other wrestlers to join her in shocking fashion — Dakota Kai, who was released back in April from “NXT,” and Iyo Sky, formerly known as Io Shirai, also making her return from injury and having seemingly signed a new contract. The trio entered the ring and faced down Belair, who was unexpectedly backed up by Becky Lynch, whom Belair had just defeated for the championship.
Also on the “Raw” side of SummerSlam, Logan Paul made his singles debut when he took on The Miz, busting out moves that we had not seen the social media influencer perform prior to this match. Miz had Maryse and Ciampa at ringside to start out with, but later into the match, AJ Styles came out to help fight off Ciampa, leaving just Maryse in Miz’s corner. Paul defeated Miz using Miz’s own move, the Skull Crushing Finale.
Bobby Lashley has now beaten Theory in back-to-back PLEs at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, retaining his United States Championship over Mr. Money in the Bank in fairly quick action. Theory would be seen again in the main event of SummerSlam, attempting to cash in during the main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, but Lesnar hit Theory with an F-5 before Theory had the chance to cash in, and he left the arena still holding the battered briefcase Reigns used as a weapon to help put Lesnar away.
In the last “Raw” match of the night, the Mysterios went 2-0 over The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Damian Priest as the father and son team secured the win off of a returning Edge’s help.
As of early Monday morning, nothing has been promoted for “Raw,” but you can certainly expect fallout from SummerSlam, likely in all four of these storylines.

Three title matches are on tap and a rivalry could come to an end in a Falls Count Anywhere match on tonight’s episode of “WWE NXT”.
Mandy Rose is set to defend her “NXT” Women’s Championship against Sarray. Rose is already set to defend her title against Zoey Stark on the special Heatwave episode of “NXT” coming up on Tuesday, August 16. Stark earned the title match by winning a 20-woman battle royal last month. However, Sarray was recently visiting “NXT UK” and missed out on that opportunity. She returned on last Tuesday’s episode and challenged Rose to a title match.
The Creed Brothers are set to put their “NXT” Tag Team Titles on the line tonight against Tony D’Angelo and his top lieutenant, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. D’Angelo pinned one-half of the champions, Julius Creed, as his “family” one an eight-man tag team match on last Tuesday’s “NXT”.
The vacant “NXT” Women’s Tag Team Championship will be on the line in a four-way match. The competing teams are scheduled to be Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley, Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter, Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon, and the two-time former champions: Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne. The latest title reign for Dolin and Jayne ended on The Great American Bash special nearly one month ago when they were dethroned by Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. However, Jade turned on Perez one week later and then dumped her title belt in the trash, leading to the titles being vacated.
Also tonight, Solo Sikoa and Von Wagner are set to collide in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Their last match ended in a double count-out, which saw them brawl throughout the building and outside into the parking lot. In 2020, Pankey, who says he never met Matthews, was charged with murder after repeatedly making public statements that inserted him into the case, including drawing up a list of persons of interest with his own name on it. Year-Long ‘Dateline’ Investigation Reveals New Details & Looks at Warning Signs the Maryland Town Received About Officer at Center of Case
On Friday’s all-new Dateline NBC at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT, anchor Lester Holt will report on Anton Black, a 19-year-old Black man who died in 2018 while being taken into police custody in Maryland. The one-hour special, entitled What Happened to Anton Black?, investigates the warning signs the town of Greensboro, Maryland received about Thomas Webster, the officer who initially chased Black after receiving a 911 call that Black had been dragging another boy down the street, unaware that the two boys had known each other for years.
During the broadcast, Anton’s parents and sister open up about his death, which occurred after Webster, two additional police officers and a bystander restrained him on his front porch. Anton’s father tells Holt that Anton didn’t “attack” anyone or “rob a bank,” explaining, “He’s at his mother’s doorstep. All he wanted to do was go home. He’s home and you don’t get off of him? That’s not right.” Click here to watch the exchange.
Holt also interviews Jason Johnson, the president of The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund. Johnson tells Holt that Black’s death was a tragedy, but he didn’t “see any indication of malice” after watching the bodycam footage, adding that he thought it met “the professional standard.” When pressed, Johnson also told Holt, “I could tell you with some degree of certainty that Thomas Webster should not have been a Greensboro police officer at all.”
No charges were filed against Webster, and Black’s death was ruled accidental.
Additionally, What Happened to Anton Black? spotlights the parallels between the death of Black and the death of George Floyd, including that the same chief medical examiner reviewed both cases. Like Floyd, Black’s case galvanized a community seeking justice and touched many of the fault lines in the heated debate about policing in America.
